Great Cloth Diaper Change

So....you know we are hosting the Great Cloth Diaper Change again, right?

What you may not know, is that we are looking for sponsors!

If you own a business, or would just like to contribute to a wonderful event, let us know! We have several levels of sponsorship available, so pick what works for you!

Our participating numbers have consistently grown each year, and we expect this year to be even more successful! Your sponsorship funds will help us pay for the cost of giving each participant a commemorative shirt (advertising your business to others in our community every day), pay for food for our participants, and commemorative certificates saying that each child was part of a Guinness World Record!

Each year we have had lots of media coverage of this event and it has done a tremendous amount to bring awareness to the benefits of cloth diapers and natural parenting in our community.

Check out the different sponsorship levels (and what you get with each) we are offering:

To be a sponsor, we need your commitment and money for whichever level you are comfortable with absolutely no later than April 5th, 2013.

Whether or not you are able to be a sponsor for this event, we are also looking for door prizes for our participants! If you would be willing or able to donate anything for our mamas, daddies, or babies to win, we would graciously accept that as well.

So, if you are able to help us out, let us know - we look forward to hearing from you!!

Great Cloth Diaper Change

Who has participated in the Great Cloth Diaper Change before?

Well, we are busy planning for this year's event and are looking forward to a great turnout!

Mark your calendars for April 26 and join us while we, together with moms from around the world, set another Guinness World Record!

The event will begin at 9:00 a.m. with mingling, vendors, and a delicious breakfast of rolls, cookies, and goodies from Staff of Life Bakery. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. CST, with the simultaneous diaper change happening at 11:00 a.m. After the change we encourage you to come to the store (1/2 block down the street) for more mingling, deals, and diapapallooza!

The event was begun by the Real Diaper Association. From their website

"The Real Diaper Association, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, provides support and education to parents all across North America for the use of simple, reusable cloth diapers. The goal of the Real Diaper Association is to put more babies in cloth diapers. To do this we aim to create a cultural shift in understanding cloth diapers-their environmental impact, their ease of use, their accessibility, and their acceptability. The Association will help parents understand that cloth diapers are real diapers."

We are looking so forward to this event and sharing in the history-making with you again!

We don't want you to miss it, so get registered today!!

Breastfed Babies...

We know that babies who are breastfed get the best of what nature has to offer them. But what does that really mean in real, practical terms?

Check out this graphic from TheAlphaParent.com, and see for yourself!

So seriously - when someone says to you to just give your baby formula...you can tell them that you are doing what's best for your baby, and you'll appreciate the support to give her what God/Nature designed to be her perfect nutrition.

Also...don't forget that we have a breastfeeding support group that meets at Educated Mommy on the second Thursday of every month at 6:30 pm (That's THIS Thursday!). We also have a weekly support group specifically designed for nursing newborns! Join Alicia Fonder, IBCLC every Wednesday at 1:00 pm for Milk Monologues.
