Anyone interested in being a Peer Counselor to nursing moms?!
Several people have showed an interest in attending a LaLeche League Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Class. Because of this interest I will be teaching a class in Oct.
This class will be a 24 plus hour class that will give those in the class a basic understanding of Breastfeeding. We will cover such things as, what is in breastmilk, anatomy, getting started, special situations, and barriers to breastfeeding among other things.
You will receive your own LaLeche League Breastfeeding Answer Book, The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding, hand outs, and syllabus to keep. These materials are included in the class fee.
At the end of the class you will be given a Peer Counselor certificate.
Date: Saturday Oct 10,17, & 21
Time: 8:30am-6:30pm all three weeks
Location: Elegant Mommy in Sioux Falls SD
I want to do this class as cost effective as possible for everyone. The normal cost for the class is $350.00. This will be the cost if we only have 3-6 people. The class fees and discounts will be as follows if received by 9-30-09:
$350.00 per person for 3-6 people
$275.00 per person for 6-9 people
$225.00 per person for 9-10 people
